HOW DOES AN INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER BUILD YOUR TRAINING PLAN?

We have the means to communicate with all of our client's in-house professionals at the AC Development Hub; your subject matter experts and HR team will love it! They will leverage communication platforms to gather, organize and review content. Reviewing Storyboards, scripts, course outlines, you name it!

GRAPHIC DESIGN NEEDS

A picture-perfect presentation is essential to have a practical impact on employees. We focus on grabbing our learners' attention by utilizing various forms of gamification in our modules. AC uses badges, certifications, mini-games, and brands these elements graphically to fit your business colour pallet, style, and general design.

DISCOVERING CONTENT

This is where our designers and your subject matter experts can review content collaboratively. All content should be reviewed and approved by subject matter experts before evolving the learning experience to engaging and exciting modules!

You may not remember all those training programs you attended before. But perhaps you could recall the ones that engaged your visual cortex and auditory hearing using captivating premises? Our content at AC always uses the latest software and technologies available. Have you got pre-existing content? No problem, as we are adapting to upgrading existing content into newer mixed media standards.

NARRATION

Narration may not be required in all e-learning modules and videos. However, it should be included where appropriate. A course on Intercultural Dynamics, for instance, could capture the subtleties of spoken languages more effectively.

Subject matter experts, learning developers, and instructional designers should work together to ensure the company’s values and cultures are properly communicated when conducting any voice-over work.

WHAT IS THE JOB OF AN INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGN CONSULTANT?

You might expect from Instructional Designers the training materials being delivered as a client. AC has much higher professional standards than that!

Our talented pool of Instructional Designers shares materials and resources with ease. We use encrypted cloud-based storage for file transfers, various communication platforms like Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, Office Business 365 Suite, Google Business Suites, and even asynchronous content publishing programs that make receiving quick feedback from a client a breeze.

An Instructional Designer's objective is to equip and enable the training element to perform at its best. A training needs assessment is conducted, learning gaps are identified, and the Instructional Designer works with the business's learning or Human Resources department, at least initially, to build the training deployment schedule.

Once content gathering and the training needs assessments are complete, the Instructional Designer will continue to collaborate with the client within the checks and balances system to ensure the design and the content itself is approved. This is generally accomplished by story boarding modules with a PowerPoint or Articulate 360. The subject matter experts are always responsible for supporting these storyboards before any development begins.

Once development begins, the Instructional Designer will share Alpha and Beta versions of content that subject matter experts can comment on and provide feedback. The Instructional Designer implements the given input for the Alpha version. The newly revised Beta version is then sent for another round of feedback. If that version is approved, we move into the final production, which generally includes plugging voiceovers, videos, and other mixed media content.
